On August 30, 2024, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment released the "Public Notification on the Proposed Addition of Chemical Substances to the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China for the 2nd Batch of 2024 (Total 12th Batch)." This notification involves 6 chemical substances, which are:
- Calcium tungsten oxide (CaWO4) (CAS#7790-75-2)
- Phosphonomycin (R)-1-phenethylamine salt (CAS#25383-07-7)
- N-Methyl-1-(methylthio) -2-nitroethylen-1-amine (CAS#61832-41-5)
- 1,1-Ethenediamine, N-[2-[[[5-[(dimethylamino)methyl]-2-furanyl]methyl]thio]ethyl]-N′-methyl-2-nitro- (CAS#66357-35-5)
- Guanidine, hydrochloride (1:1), polymer with 1,6-hexanediamine (CAS#57028-96-3)
- Ammonium vanadium oxide ((NH4)V3O8) (CAS#12207-63-5)

Public Notification on the Proposed Addition of Chemical Substances to the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China for the 2nd Batch of 2024 (Total 12th Batch)
According to the "Measures for the Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances" (Ministry of Ecology and Environment Order No. 12, hereinafter referred to as "the Measures") and the "Guidelines for Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances" (hereinafter referred to as "the Guidelines"), our department has reviewed the applications for the addition of chemical substances to the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China submitted by relevant units. The applications for these 6 chemical substances meet the requirements of Article 3 of the Measures and the relevant requirements of the Guidelines, and are proposed to be added to the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China.
In accordance with the requirements of the Guidance, to reflect the principles of openness, fairness, and justice, and to accept public supervision, the information on the 6 chemical substances proposed for addition to the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China (see attached table) is now publicly displayed on the official website of our department.
