New Jersey Proposes Updates to Regulations on Volatile Organic Compounds
Date:Aug 23, 2024

The New Jersey environmental regulatory agency issued two proposals aimed at revising its volatile organic compound (VOC) regulations for consumer products and architectural and industrial maintenance (AIM) coatings. These revisions align with the latest model rules of the Ozone Transport Commission, further restricting and reducing the VOC content across multiple categories and prohibiting the sale of products containing specific toxic chlorides. Feedback on these proposals is due by October 18, with an online public hearing scheduled for October 15.
