UK REACH Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) List
The UK REACH Candidate List is a list of substances of very high concern (SVHCs) that may be recommended for inclusion on the Authorisation List (Annex 14) of UK REACH. The list includes substances with serious hazardous properties such as carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction (CMR), persistent, bio-accumulative and toxic (PBT), as well as very persistent and very bioaccumulative (vPvB). Additionally, it includes substances for which there is evidence of equivalent level of concern, such as those with endocrine disrupting properties. These substances may pose serious impacts on human health or the environment, and suppliers are responsible for providing safety information about items containing these substances to recipients, and submitting notifications to HSE when necessary. Some SVHCs, if further included in the UK REACH Authorisation List, are restricted from use after the sunset date unless authorized.
