Thailand-Specification of Qualities or Standards of Food Packaging Made from Plastic-Qualities or standards on migration limits of primary aromatic amines (PAAs)
Aromatic amines (PAAs) are a group of chemicals known for their potential carcinogenicity and toxicity, and are thus strictly regulated in food contact materials. In Thailand, there is particular focus on the control and testing of these substances in plastics used for food packaging and containers to protect consumer health. The Specification of Qualities or Standards of Food Packaging Made from Plastic-Qualities or standards on migration limits of primary aromatic amines (PAAs) include specific requirements for testing the migration of aromatic amines (PAAs) from colored plastics or printed containers. These regulations define the specific migration limits (SMLs) that must not be exceeded to ensure safety.
