The Technical Regulation on the Positive List of Elastomeric Materials used in Packaging and Equipment in Contact with Food (GMC RES 28-1999) specifies the requirements for elastomeric materials used in food contact. Elastomers are a class of polymers known for their significant elasticity, commonly used in the manufacture of seals, hoses, membranes, and other products that come into direct or indirect contact with food.
