EU List of Chemicals subject to PIC

The Prior Informed Consent Regulation(PIC) is a specific implementation of the Rotterdam Convention in the EU, which regulates the import and export of hazardous chemicals between the EU and third countries, and stipulates that specific hazardous chemicals in the EU must fulfill the obligation of export notification. The Prior Informed Consent Regulation(PIC) entered into force on March 1, 2014. There are 2 significant lists under PIC, Annex I and Annex V. Annex V lists the chemicals and articles the use of which is prohibited in the European Union and which shall not be exported. Chemicals and articles listed in Part 1 of Annex V are subject to export ban and belong to the category of persistent organic pollutants; Part 2 of Annex V lists chemicals and articles subject to export ban other than persistent organic pollutants. Chemicals listed in Annex I are subject to export notification.
