The 9th batch of chemicals prohibited from import and the 8th batch of chemicals prohibited from export were added to the Inventory of Chemicals Prohibited from Import/Export in China-Jan 4,2024

On December 29, 2023, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs, and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment jointly announced the 'Prohibited Imports Catalog (Ninth Batch)' and the 'Prohibited Exports Catalog (Eighth Batch)' with the following details:

To protect human health and safety and to safeguard the environment, in accordance with the 'Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China' and the 'Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of the Import and Export of Goods', the 'Prohibited Imports Catalog (Ninth Batch)' and the 'Prohibited Exports Catalog (Eighth Batch)' are hereby published and will be implemented from January 1, 2024.

Goods used for research at a laboratory scale or as reference standards are not subject to the import and export restrictions specified in these catalogs.
