On November 2, 2023, the Technical Center for Solid Waste and Chemicals Management of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued the Reference List of Perfluorooctanoic Acid, its Salts and Related Compounds, and this list specifies the chemical names, CAS numbers and customs codes of perfluorooctanoic acid, its salts and related compounds.

Now its 361 substances are added to Class 9-Perfluorooctanoic acid, its salts and related compounds (PFOA class) of the List of Toxic Chemicals Whose Import and Export are Strictly Restricted in China.
