The Colombian National Institute for Drug and Food Surveillance recently announced that the implementation date for the Andean Community's cosmetic labeling technical regulation has been postponed to December 17, 2025, a year later than originally planned. The community, consisting of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, aims to unify cosmetic labeling rules within the region through this regulation. Additionally, the legislation requires companies to obtain a mandatory health notification (NSO) before promoting cosmetics.
