On February 7, 2025, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Ministry of the Environment jointly issued a notice. This notice implements temporary monitoring of the total national production and importation of chemicals that do not exceed 10 tons or whose estimated emissions do not exceed 1 ton. Furthermore, chemicals that have been monitored for over three years and are confirmed to pose no environmental pollution risk will have their designation as priority assessment chemicals cancelled.
