Norwegian Environment Agency Reports Widespread Non-Compliance in Chemical Product Labeling

Date:Jan 14, 2025

According to recent results released by the Norwegian Environment Agency, an inspection last year of 68 chemical products found that about two-thirds of the chemical products on the Norwegian market had incorrect labeling, including essential oils, cleaning products, and products such as glue and paint removers. Most notably, the majority of essential oil products did not use Norwegian labels to indicate hazardous information as required, violating the regulations of the Chemicals Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Act.
