What are explosives precursors?

Explosives precursors are chemical substances that can be used as raw materials or auxiliary materials to produce explosive materials. These chemicals typically include strong oxidizing agents, combustible/easily combustible substances, strong reducing agents, and certain organic compounds. Examples include nitric acid, perchloric acid, hydrogen peroxide, sodium peroxide, potassium dichromate, and potassium borohydride.
