South Korea's Ministry of Environment Launches Green Leaf System for Chemical Safety Information
Date:Dec 26, 2024

The Ministry of Environment of South Korea introduced an online information system called Green Leaf, designed to provide safety information on the ingredients of consumer chemical products. This system uses varying numbers of green leaf icons to indicate the safety levels of ingredients, helping consumers easily understand product safety. The Ministry plans to expand this program in 2025 by increasing corporate participation and potentially disclosing more information. All participating products comply with the Korean Consumer Chemical Products and Biocides Safety Act (K-BPR).
