On September 27, 2024, the Australian Government issued a notification according to Section 83 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019, which mandates a comprehensive risk assessment for new chemicals before they are introduced to the market to ensure their impacts on the environment and human health are properly managed. The Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals (AIIC) was updated to include one new chemical substance.
