New Zealand Restricts Use of DCPA - containing Herbicides in Specific Crop Soils

In response to an urgent warning from the United States Environmental Protection Agency, New Zealand restricted the use of herbicides containing DCPA (dimethyl tetrachloroterephthalate) in the soil of specific crops and established broad buffer zones to protect the public from September 13, 2024. This measure is intended to prevent long-term impacts of the chemical on fetal development and public health.
