ECHA Launches a Public Consultation for CLH Proposals
Date:Sep 12, 2024

On September 11, 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) launched a public consultation on a proposal for the harmonized classification and labeling (CLH) of one chemical substance. Its consultation period will last for 60 days. The CLH process aims to ensure consistency and transparency of hazard information for chemicals across Europe. This procedure includes assessing the hazards of the chemical substance, proposing appropriate classification and labeling, publicly collecting comments, and a final review and recommendation by ECHA’s Risk Assessment Committee (RAC).
