What are highly toxic chemicals?

Highly toxic chemicals are those listed in the "Catalog of Hazardous Chemicals (2015 Edition)" and marked as "highly toxic." According to this catalog, highly toxic chemicals refer to chemicals with acute acute toxicity hazards, including synthetic chemicals and their mixtures and natural toxins, as well as acute toxicity that is likely to cause public safety hazards of chemicals.

Severe acute toxicity determination limit: acute toxicity category 1, that is, one of the following conditions is met:

  • Oral LD50 (rat experiment) ≤ 5 mg/kg
  • Percutaneous LD50 ≤ 50 mg/kg
  • Inhalation (4 hours) LC50 ≤ 100 ml/m³ (gas) or 0.5 mg/L (vapor) or 0.05 mg/L (dust/mist)

Percutaneous LD50 experimental data can also use data from rabbit tests.
