Date:Aug 20, 2024

According to Section 6.4 of the "Guidelines for the Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances" (Ministry of Ecology and Environment Announcement No. 51 of 2020, hereinafter referred to as the "Guidelines"), after the acceptance of applications such as the conventional registration, simplified registration, new use environmental management registration, and changes to the registration certificate for new chemical substances, the applicant can submit a written request to withdraw the registration application, stating the reasons for withdrawal.

To handle the withdrawal of a registration application, one should use the online registration system for the environmental management of new chemical substances, available at http://zwfw.mee.gov.cn. The specific steps include selecting the "New Chemical Substances" category, clicking on the "13002 New Chemical Substance Environmental Management Registration Certificate Issuance and Approval Matters" section, following the prompts to enter the "Measures for the Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances (MEE Order No. 12) Matter Reporting Entrance (New System)", and choosing the appropriate function for the type of matter to be handled to complete the online form submission and document provision.
