What are the requirements for agency contracts or agreements under the registration of new chemical substances in China's environmental management?

According to the "Guidelines for the Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances" (Ministry of Ecology and Environment Announcement No. 51 of 2020), the following contents must be clearly agreed upon: 1) The applicant and the agent shall jointly fulfill the obligations of environmental management registration for new chemical substances and post-registration environmental management, and bear legal responsibilities accordingly; 2) Provisions on the responsibilities and obligations related to changing agents; 3) The validity period of the agency relationship. The validity period of the agency contract or agreement should cover the validity period of the responsibilities and obligations of the registration certificate holder or the record applicant, or be extended before the expiration of the validity period.
