Japan Proposes Workplace Exposure Limits for 167 Substances Under Industrial Safety and Health Act

Under the Industrial Safety and Health Act (ISHA), the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan released a list planning to establish workplace environment measurement methods and Workplace Exposure Limits (WELs) for 167 substances. These substances, if designated as requiring risk assessment, will be subject to WELs, and the list may be subject to further changes.
