On January 22, 2024, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued a public notice titled "Information on the Proposed Addition of 7 Chemical Substances to the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China (Batch No. 1, 2024, Total No. 11)". The following 7 chemical substances are included in this notice: peracetic acid (CAS No. 107-32-4), ((((1Z)-1-(2-amino-1,3-thiazol-4-yl)-2-(1,3-benzothiazol-2-ylthio)-2-oxoethyl)amino)oxy)ethyl methyl ester (CAS No. 246035-38-1), (αZ)-2-amino-α-(methoxyimino)-4-thiazoleacetic acid ethyl ester (CAS No. 64485-88-7), vanadium(III) oxide (CAS No. 1314-34-7), aluminum dihydroxyethyl aminoacetate (CAS No. 13682-92-3), cyclohexyl phenyl ketone (CAS No. 712-50-5), and bis(16-hydroxypropyl) peroxy dicarbonate (CAS No. 26322-14-5). The specific content of the notice is as follows:
According to the Measures for the Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances (Order No. 12 of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, hereinafter referred to as the "Measures") and the Guide for Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances (hereinafter referred to as the "Guide"), the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has reviewed the application materials submitted by relevant units for the addition of new chemical substances to the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China. Among them, the application materials of 7 chemical substances meet the requirements of Article 3 of the Measures and the relevant requirements of the Guide, and are proposed to be added to the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China.
According to the requirements of the Guide, in order to uphold transparency, fairness, and justice, and accept public supervision, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment will now publicly display the information of the 7 chemical substances proposed to be added to the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China in the first batch of 2024 (the 11th batch in total) on its government website.
