On October 8, 2024, pursuant to Section 58 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019, the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) will issue commercial evaluation authorizations for nine substances after reviewing applications. Authorization will be denied if risks to human health or the environment are unmanageable, or if the substance is not classified as an industrial chemical. AICIS will inform all applicants in writing of its decisions and issue certificates to successful ones.
