A

Specific Q: Our company plans to export a machine (containing one lithium battery with a power rating greater than 100WH), which is classified as dangerous goods. The factory is located in Fuzhou, and we need to obtain the dangerous goods packaging certificate there. The outer packaging material for a single unit of dangerous goods is: plywood box, with external dimensions of 1470*1470*1175mm, and the packaging marking is 50D. What are the validity periods for the performance certificate and the usage certificate?

A:1. According to the SN/T 0370-2021 series of standards, "Rules for the inspection of packaging for export dangerous goods," the validity period of the "Inspection Result Certificate for Packaging Performance" is up to 12 months from the date of packaging production. Packaging containers that exceed the validity period must be re-inspected for performance, and their validity period is up to 6 months from the date of inspection completion. For containers that are reused, repaired, or modified, the validity period is up to 6 months from the date of inspection completion. 2. According to the SN/T 0370-2021 series of standards, "Rules for the inspection of packaging for export dangerous goods," the validity period of the "Appraisal Result Certificate for the Use of Dangerous Goods Transport Packaging" is calculated from the date of dangerous goods filling. For packaging containing Class 8 dangerous goods or those with corrosive subsidiary hazards, the validity period of the appraisal result certificate is 6 months. For other types of dangerous goods packaging, the validity period is 12 months. For air transport packaging of dangerous goods, the validity period of the appraisal result certificate is 3 months. The validity period of the appraisal result certificate cannot exceed the validity period of the corresponding performance inspection certificate. For more details, please refer to the requirements of SN/T 0370-2021 and the validity period section of the relevant certificates.
