South Korea Revises Enforcement Decree of Chemical Control Act

The Ministry of Environment of South Korea is collecting public opinions on the draft amendment to the Enforcement Decree of Chemical Control Act (K-CCA Enforcement Decree). The draft includes exemptions for consumer use of hazardous substances, exemptions from notification obligations for restricted substances, exemptions from permission requirements or notification obligations for authorized substances, and exemptions for the import declaration of three categories of toxic chemical substances. The public consultation will end on March 25, 2025.
