This regulation specifies the general provisions for the registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemicals in the EU, substance registration, data sharing and avoidance of unnecessary testing, information in the supply chain, downstream users, evaluation, authorization, restrictions on the manufacture, placing on the market, and use of certain hazardous substances and mixtures, fees and charges, agency, information, competent authorities, enforcement, transitional and final provisions. It is applicable to the activities of producers or importers of substances, mixtures (preparations), and articles within the EU territory related to production, placing on the market, or use.
