The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of the People's Republic of China was a former component department of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, in charge of foreign trade and economic cooperation. It was established in March 1993, succeeding the former Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade of the People's Republic of China.
In March 2003, according to the "State Council Institutional Reform Plan" approved by the first session of the 10th National People's Congress, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation was no longer retained.
