The National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (hereinafter referred to as the Food Assessment Center), established on October 13, 2011, is a public health institution directly under the National Health Commission, approved by the Central Organization and Compiling Committee Office. The establishment of the Food Assessment Center is an important measure by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council to strengthen food safety work. It also serves as a vital foundation for thoroughly implementing the Food Safety Law and effectively enhancing the scientific level of food safety risk management in China.
