Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning of Turkey

The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of Turkey, established on June 29, 2011, is responsible for environmental protection and related affairs in the country. Its responsibilities include environmental management, environmental assessment, land use, conservation of natural resources, protection of flora and fauna, pollution prevention, environmental publicity, formulation of environmental policies and development strategies, as well as cooperation with local environmental departments, other countries, and international organizations. It also oversees the collection of environmental data and the issuance of environmental permits.
