The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (GAQSIQ) is a ministerial-level institution directly under the State Council of the People's Republic of China. It is in charge of national quality supervision, metrology, inspection of import and export commodities, quarantine of entry-exit health, quarantine of entry-exit animals and plants, food safety of imports and exports, and certification and accreditation, as well as standardization. It also exercises administrative law enforcement functions.
