The Civil Aviation Administration of China (commonly referred to as the CAAC), is a national bureau under the administration of a ministry, managed by the Ministry of Transport, and is in charge of civil aviation affairs under the State Council of the People's Republic of China. It is located at No. 155, Dongsi West Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing. Its predecessor was the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, which had undertaken the operational functions of China's civil aviation before 1987.
