The Ministry of Environment (Korean: 환경부 / Hwan-gyungbu) is a central administrative agency of the Republic of Korea. The head of the department is titled the Minister of Environment (Korean: 환경부 장관 / Hwan-gyungbu Janggwan), who is also appointed as a State Councilor.
Its main responsibilities include protecting the natural and living environments, as well as preventing environmental pollution and other related matters.
