The Ministry of Employment and Labor (Korean: 고용노동부 / Goyong Nodong-bu) is a central administrative agency in South Korea. The head of the department is titled the Minister of Employment and Labor (Korean: 고용노동부 장관 / Goyong Nodong-bu Janggwan), who is also appointed as a State Councilor. The ministry is responsible for setting labor standards, mediating labor-management relations, guiding trade unions, overseeing production safety insurance, labor welfare, employment policies, employment equality, labor insurance, vocational training, industrial accident compensation insurance, and other related matters.
