Approval Imminent for Testing Proposals of 12 Substances under REACH Registration
EU
REACH
Registration

Under REACH regulations, registrants must develop a Testing Plan (TP) for substances produced in significant quantities, as detailed in Annexes IX and X. After public consultations, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) will adjust the testing requirements based on substance characteristics and stakeholder feedback.

On June 12, 2024, ECHA released 12 new testing proposals, inviting public comments by set deadlines.

The ECHA’s consultation process ensures that additional testing for registered chemicals is transparently assessed. Feedback helps refine safety assessments and update testing protocols. Registrants must perform these tests and revise their safety data, ensuring chemical safety and fostering industry sustainability.
