Indian DCPC to Implement QCOs for 10 Chemicals

The Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC) of India has announced its plan to implement Quality Control Orders (QCOs) for a list of 10 chemicals, in accordance with the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.

According to the DCPC, these QCOs are formulated to improve chemical quality, protect consumer interests, and strengthen chemical management. Relevant enterprises shall comply with the QCOs and provide necessary information to competent authorities.

The enforcement of these QCOs for 10 chemicals is outlined below:

The DCPC is inviting public comments and feedbacks on the proposed QCOs. Any remarks or suggestions can be submitted from 5th January 2024.
